Lorelei Gabel, owner of the gallery, has been the Director of the Carmel Fine Art Gallery for the past 25 years. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Art History from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., where her seminars were held in the prestigious National Gallery of Art. Following university, she went on to graduate study in Germany where her knowledge was further enhanced by time spent in the European museums and with the prominent art dealers there. She brings a lifetime of experience to assist you in building an art collection that you can be proud of, and which will give you pleasure for years to come. She has also been instrumental in securing art for many private and corporate collections both in California and across the United States. She is here to assist in both the acquisition and the selling of works in your collection.
Harry Parashis was the founder of the Carmel Fine Art gallery, opening the business in 1988. As such, the Carmel Fine Art Gallery is one of the longest established galleries in Carmel. For many decades Harry served the discriminating collector of Early American art and Early California Impressionist artists. His vision was far reaching, extending to the preservation of important historical homes in the area. Within these homes Harry would integrate the relevant art of the period, showing our clients the best way to present their own collections. He always emphasized the enduring quality of fine art, that it is powerful in the message it conveys, that it is essential. Harry was an inspiration to all art lovers and he will be greatly missed.
